Reaching Out to Spanish-Speaking Communities: A Guide to Sharing God's Simple Plan of Salvation

Sharing the good news of salvation is one of the most important things we can do as Christians. If you have Spanish-speaking friends, family, or acquaintances, it's important to know how to give God's simple plan of salvation in Spanish. By following these four points, you can help others understand the way to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

Todos somos pecadores - Romanos 3:23

The first step in God's simple plan of salvation is acknowledging that we are all sinners. This is a fundamental truth that is clearly stated in Romans 3:23, which says “Por cuanto todos pecaron" or “for all have sinned." No one is exempt from sin, and it is only through acknowledging our sin that we can begin to understand our need for salvation.

La paga del pecado es la muerte - Romanos 6:23

The second step is recognizing that the wages of sin is death. This is explained in Romans 6:23, which says “La paga del pecado es muerte" or "The wages of sin is death." Sin separates us from God and ultimately leads to death, both physically and spiritually. It is only through acknowledging this truth that we can understand the need for a Savior.

Cristo murió por nuestro pecado - Romanos 5:8

The third step is understanding that Christ died for our sin. This is explained in Romans 5:8, which says “Cristo murió por nosotros" or "Christ died for us." Jesus came to earth to take on the punishment for our sin and provide a way for us to be reconciled to God. By believing in Jesus and what he did for us on the cross, we can have our sin forgiven and have a relationship with God.

Si crees, serás salvado - Romanos 10:9-10, 13

The fourth and final step is believing in Jesus. This is stated in Romans 10:9-10, 13, which says "que si confesares … y creyeres … serás salvo." or "That if thou shalt confess … and shalt believe … thou shalt be saved." By putting our faith in Jesus, we can receive the gift of salvation and have eternal life with God. It is through faith in Jesus and what he did for us that we can be saved and experience the love, peace, and joy that comes from a relationship with God.

Oración (Prayer)

In addition to the four points of God's simple plan of salvation, it is important to provide an opportunity for the person to receive Christ as their Savior. This can be done through the "sinners' prayer," which is a simple expression of faith and repentance.

The sinners' prayer in English is: “Lord Jesus, I know I've sinned. Please forgive me. Come into my heart and take me to Heaven when I die."

The sinners' prayer in Spanish is: “Señor Jesús, sé que he pecado. Por favor perdóname. Ven a mi corazón y llévame al cielo cuando muera."

It is important to remember that this prayer is not a magic formula or incantation, but rather a heartfelt expression of faith in Jesus Christ. When we pray this prayer, we are acknowledging our sin, asking for forgiveness, and inviting Jesus into our lives as our Lord and Savior.

In conclusion

Giving God's simple plan of salvation in Spanish is an important task for Christians. By following these four points, we can help others understand the way to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. May we be faithful in sharing the good news of salvation with all those around us, including those who speak Spanish.
