January 2025 Prayer Letter
Dear Friends and Supporters,
Happy New Year from northern Mexico! We are so thankful for the faithful prayers, encouragement, and support we received in 2024, and we are entering 2025 with renewed passion and a deep sense of gratitude for all God has done and all we believe He will do in the months ahead.
The year is off to a strong start here at Mount Hebron Baptist Church and Mount Hebron Baptist Bible Institute. January has brought new visitors to our services, and we’ve already seen souls walk the aisle, make public professions of faith, and follow the Lord in baptism. Praise the Lord for the fruit that remains!
We’re currently preparing for the return of our Bible Institute students for the spring semester. It’s always an exciting season as young men and women arrive, eager to be trained for the ministry. Please pray for us as we work to meet their needs—spiritually, practically, and even logistically. We’re still trusting the Lord to provide the remaining funds needed to finish improvements on the men’s dormitory. Several churches and individuals have helped move this project forward, and we are so grateful!
Our Christian School continues forward as well. We are thankful for the students and their families and ask for your prayers as we seek God’s provision for sponsoring children and for the right personnel—especially a teacher who feels called to serve and can come alongside Jenny in this growing ministry.
As a family, we’re doing well. The kids are healthy and full of energy, and we’re enjoying the simple blessings of time together at home and in ministry. Thank you for praying for Jenny’s knees—please continue to do so. We know your prayers make a difference.
This month marks a fresh opportunity to serve the Lord with joy, to press forward with boldness, and to continue reaching our city and our nation with the gospel. We are praying for you as you begin a new year and want you to know that we are thankful for your friendship, your sacrifice, and your love for missions.
We are excited to continue serving in 2025—and we are honored to do it with you standing behind us.
For souls in Mexico,
Jonathan & Jenny Ashcraft
