April 2023 Prayer Letter

I am writing to update you on the amazing work that God is doing through our ministry here in Monterrey, Mexico. As you know, our mission is to train nationals to plant churches, and we do so through our Bible Institute, Mount Hebron Baptist Bible Institute. I am thrilled to share that we currently have 28 nationals enrolled in our Bible Institute and we hope to see that number double this fall. It is a joy to see how God is raising up leaders who are passionate about spreading His love and grace to their communities.

However, we face challenges in fulfilling our mission. One of our biggest needs is for dormitories and a dining hall for our Bible Institute. We are praying for the funds needed to build these facilities so that our students can have a safe and comfortable place to live and eat while they receive their training. We trust that God will provide for our needs as we continue to seek His will and serve His people. This is a $25,000 Dollar need.

Last week, we held Bible clubs across the city, and it was a truly amazing experience. 105 of our church members worked in 13 different clubs, and the attendance was a whopping 1,669 people! Even more incredibly, we saw 560 people come to Christ during these clubs. It is truly humbling to see how God is working through our efforts and using us as instruments of His love and grace. We thank God for the opportunity to serve Him in this way and for the transformation that we see happening in the lives of those we reach.

As we continue to serve in Monterrey, we are reminded of the importance of partnership with our supporters. This summer, my family and I will be on furlough raising support for our ministry, and we need your help to fill in our schedule. We will be traveling through Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan, and we would be honored to speak at your church or missions confernece. We believe that it is only through your prayers and financial contributions that we are able to continue spreading the good news of Christ to the people of Mexico.

In closing, we are grateful for your unwavering support of our ministry here in Monterrey. It is through your generosity and prayers that we are able to make a real difference in the lives of the people of Mexico. We ask that you continue to pray for us as we work to train more leaders and share the gospel with those who have yet to hear it. Please also consider scheduling us for a meeting this summer. We look forward to sharing with you all that God is doing in and through our ministry.
