May 2023 Prayer Letter

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I wanted to take a moment to share some exciting news with you about the recent graduation ceremony at Mount Hebron Baptist Bible Institute. Last night, we celebrated the achievements of five remarkable individuals who have completed their studies and are now ready to embark on a new journey in full-time ministry. These graduates have dedicated themselves to serving the Lord, and they will be heading to various parts of Mexico to spread the message of God’s love.

Last night was a truly remarkable experience as my son, Jonathan, and I went soul winning together. During our time, we had the privilege of meeting a man named Andres. With great enthusiasm, we shared a clear presentation of the Gospel, explaining the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. As we concluded, Andres made the life-changing decision to pray and invite Jesus into his heart for salvation. Witnessing his heartfelt prayer was a humbling and awe-inspiring moment. Afterwards, we took the time to go over the security of salvation, ensuring that Andres understood the eternal assurance he now possessed. His testimony echoed with unwavering conviction, as he expressed without a shadow of doubt that he would spend eternity in heaven. This experience filled our hearts with joy and reinforced the incredible impact of sharing the Good News with those who are seeking salvation.

We are immensely grateful to God for His guidance and blessings, as He has enabled us to fill our calendar for the upcoming summer furlough. With joy in our hearts, we announce that we only have four meetings left to schedule. We are scheduled to be in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Oklahoma, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. We kindly request your prayers as we prepare to leave home on June 17th and return on August 24th. During this period, we will be visiting 28 churches with the primary aim of presenting our ministry and seeking your support.

While we are away, I want to assure you that the ministry here at Mount Hebron will be in capable hands. My father, Tommy Ashcraft, will be filling the pulpit for the majority of the time, and our dedicated team of staff members will do an excellent job in ensuring the smooth operation of the ministry. Their commitment and passion for the work of the Lord are unwavering, and we have full confidence in their ability to carry on the important work in our absence.

As we embark on this furlough journey, we kindly ask for your continued prayers. Pray for our safety, guidance, and fruitful meetings with churches and individuals who may feel led to partner with us in this ministry. Your intercession will be an invaluable source of strength and encouragement for us during this time.

Once again, we express our deep gratitude to all of you for your unwavering support throughout our journey. Your prayers, encouragement, and financial contributions have been instrumental in enabling us to continue our mission of spreading the Gospel and training nationals. We are truly blessed to have you by our side.

May God bless you abundantly for your love, faithfulness, and partnership in His work. We look forward to sharing more updates and testimonies with you in the future.
