August 2023 Prayer Letter

As we embark on this journey of furlough, we wanted to share with you the incredible blessings we have experienced thus far and to ask for your continued prayers.

Our furlough has been going remarkably well, and it's all thanks to your unwavering support and prayers. After spending some valuable time in California, we embarked on a church visitation tour that has been nothing short of a God-ordained adventure.

Our travels took us through several states, starting with New Mexico and then back to Texas for a week. It is with immense gratitude that we can report that several pastors have committed to taking us on for support. These commitments are a tremendous blessing to us and our mission, and we thank God for opening these doors.

We continued our journey through the heartland of America, visiting Illinois and Indiana, where we had the privilege of reconnecting with churches that already support our mission. Your continued support and encouragement mean the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for your partnership in this ministry.

Last week, we had the opportunity to spend time in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with Jenny's mom, enjoying a few days of fellowship with family. It was a refreshing break and a reminder of the importance of family bonds.

Currently, we find ourselves in Temperance, Michigan, at our sending church, Lewis Avenue Baptist Church. While we are here, we would like to ask for your prayers for Pastor Steve Hobbins, who is recovering well from a heart attack. Please join us in lifting him up to the Lord for a swift and complete recovery.

As we prepare to journey back home, we kindly ask for your prayers for our safe return. Our plan is to leave this area on the 21st and be back home by the 25th. Your prayers for traveling mercies are greatly appreciated.

Upon our return, we will continue the vital work of training nationals to plant churches. Your support makes it possible for us to equip and empower others to spread the Gospel, and we are profoundly grateful for your role in this mission.

In closing, we want to express our heartfelt thanks for your unwavering support, both in prayer and financial provision. Your partnership is a cornerstone of our ministry, and we are humbled by the way God works through your generosity.

Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we embark on the final leg of our furlough journey and return to the mission field. We eagerly anticipate the many lives that will be touched and transformed through your faithful partnership.

May the Lord bless you abundantly for your love and dedication to the Great Commission. We are blessed to have you as part of our team, and we thank God for you every day.
