November 2022 Prayer Letter

Dear Praying Friends,

E. M. Bounds said: “Four things let us ever keep in mind: God hears prayer, God heeds prayer, God answers prayer, and God delivers by prayer.”

First, allow us to thank you for being faithful in praying for us. We know that you pray for us because the Lord is showing us great and mighty things.

You and I believe in the power of prayer. That is why we write to you today. We are asking you to pray with us and for us. There are some unspoken requests we covet your prayers for, as well as the following:

Please pray for our family to be fully funded.

We have been so focused on the mission field that we have forgotten about the missionary. We have invested 15 years of our lives in Mexico and have done hardly any deputation since arriving here in October 2007. God has blessed us with a healthy, growing family and our everyday needs have outgrown our budget.

You are well aware of the global financial situation we face together today. We know you are struggling to fill your gas tank and put food on your table. Churches across America are fighting to keep their doors open. Foreign missionaries are facing the same struggles even as we trust God to meet our daily needs.

It doesn’t take much to keep a missionary on the field, but we must also have enough support to ensure we’re able to do the work God has called us to do.

So, are we in danger of having to leave the field?  Absolutely not!! But we must raise our monthly support soon.

Schedule us for a meeting.

We are planning on taking the months of June, July and August 2023 to visit churches and raise support. We will be in Arizona the last week in June and the first week in July. Then, we plan on making our way east to Michigan and back down the mid-west toward southern Texas by the end of August. If you are anywhere in this area, please allow us to visit your church, or pass our name along to a Pastor you know who might be interested in hosting us.

Let us share this victory with you!

The last week of September through the first Sunday in October we held an evangelistic campaign with the help of a group from Mount Zion Baptist Church in Mexico City, Missionary Kevin Wynne. During that week, Bro W. L. Smith of Globe Missions was with us preaching. Through our efforts, we were able to preach the gospel to over 4,000 souls and nearly 500 were baptized! Dozens of people have stayed in the church and they are growing in the Lord.

Thank you for supporting us and praying for us.

Yours in His service,

Jonathan Ashcraft
